When a Canadian family, mum, dad, and daughter, set their hearts on living by the sea in Scotland, they faced the challenge of making this move from across the Atlantic. They’d dealt with buyers agents in Canada and desperately needed one in Edinburgh.

They were introduced through an immigration lawyer, and knew instantly that 29Twelve were the company they wanted to work with. We quickly spotted a charming coastal home, a place they could picture their new life, and we needed to make it happen. That’s where our knowledge of the local property market came in.

Understanding their vision, we took on the role of both property scout and caretaker. We viewed the home on their behalf, capturing videos and photos that brought the property to life for them an ocean away. Despite not having the highest offer, our approach and the family’s strong position secured them the keys to their dream home.

But our journey together didn’t end there. As the family navigated the immigration process, we seamlessly expanded our role into vacant home management. For nearly a year, we cared for the property as if it were our own, installing internet and security alarms and CCTV, checking for leaks, and ensuring everything remained in perfect order. We even created the lived-in look by adjusting curtains and lights. We organised an architect and contractors for a remodel and were on hand for deliveries as their move-in day approached.
